The guests enjoy a delectable breakfast aboard The Palace on Wheels as it royallymarches into the pink city.After a grand welcome by shenai and garlands, the guests depart by coach to experience the treasure trove of artefacts at the Albert Hall Museum followed by a host of architectural marvels - Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace etc. A pleasant lunch is served followed by a visit to the Amber Fort - adorned with red sandstone and marbles standing testimony to its perennial charm. At 3PM the guests can shop in the buzzing atmosphere of the local markets that sell a huge array of items including handicrafts, sweets and savouries pertaining to the local culture. Around 8PM the travellers return back to the train for dinner on board.The odyssey continues to Sawai Madhopur from Durgapura Railway Station in Jaipur at 8PM.

Your first stop will be at the magnificent Pink City, Jaipur. The city displays graceful architecture in a unique pink shade. Established in 1727 by the then Maharaja, Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur is known as one of the most well-planned cities of its time.

The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, is predominantly known for its musicians, artisans and craftsmen. Today, it is visited for its fine jewellery, varied textiles and sumptuous cuisine.

0800 Hours - Welcome with Rangoli, Shenai, Elephants, KachiGodi Dance, etc
0815 Hours - Departure for sight-seeing. Train leaves for workshop
0900 Hours - Visit Albert Hall Museum
1000 Hours - Visit to Hawa Mahal (from outside)
1030 Hours - Visit Jantar Mantar
1130 Hours - Visit City Palace
1230 Hours - Explore the amazing handicraft of Jaipur
1330 Hours - Elephant ride and lunch at Amer Fort
1500 Hours - Visit Amer Fort
1800 Hours - See some more intricate handmade art pieces from local Jaipur artisans
1915 Hours - Arrival on Palace on Wheels at Durgapura
2000 Hours - Dinner onboard. Palace on Wheels departs for Sawai Madhopur
